I used to count on Amazon.com for fair prices but this holiday season has been a huge disappointment and has changed the way I shop. I used to look first for Amazon, and often bought without checking elsewhere. Between the scalper’s prices for these rather silly hamster toys and the bizarrely high price for the PlayMobil pyramid (a much better toy, in my opinion), I have learned a lesson: No more one-stop shopping at Amazon for me. I’ll check around first and come back to Amazon if appropriate. Amazon, I’m ashamed of you. This isn’t a good way to do business.
