    I just ordered this dalmation. It looks pretty durable. I went to the myepets.com website and it is not educationall. But, it isen’t bad. The site is very safe. While I was looking at the totourial, it mentions that parents can control who their child talks to. Overall this toy is cute,durable,fun,un-educational (But not bad for kids), and very safe. I can’t wait to get this product.

    My daughter got this epets for christmas last year she loved it but then we forgot the code and i tried to contact the company but they never responded back to my email. Shel loved it so much and had a lot of fun playing with it on the computer i think i will get her another one for christmas this year but make sure you keep the codes somewhere and do no throw them away….

    I bought this for my son, as my daughter has a WebKins. First, he couldn’t name the pet what he wanted, so EVERY NAME for his dog was taken. We spent 20 minutes trying to find a name that would work. They mention that there is an amusement park that he can take his pet to, which is “under construction”. NONE of their pages for entering information where encrypted. Meaning even though they don’t use the child’s name, it would be VERY VERY easy to get information. As a parent, I wanted to tell my son, lets just not do this, but it hard to do when he spent his own money it.

    Horrible online experience: The major draw of this toy is its online environment for interactive play. Without this online experience, it is just an over-priced stuffed animal. The website has horrendous load times (do you remember pre-56K dial-up speeds . . . the load times here are much worse than that). The load times are long enough to try anyone’s patience much less that of a child. As the child plays, there are times when the pet disappears entirely and cannot be located without starting over. Save your time and money and leave this one on the shelves. By the way – the product is produced by MGA Entertainment and I am avoiding any of their products (which includes the popular Bratz dolls).

    This review is actually written by Catherine L., 8-year-old child of Michaele L:

    I couldn’t decide which one I wanted but finally got the mini Damalmation and I’m very happy with it. You can go on the internet and get your own private little city and it has your house, a diner, an arcade, a hospital just in case your pet doesn’t feel well, the spa and you can also chat with friends. I sleep with the dog because he is very soft and cuddly. I think you would enjoy it very much.

    Michaele L’s comments: {For whatever it’s worth, the online site seems to be very strict; they sent me an e-mail verifying my knowledge that my child was participating in this online activity and I had to register in order to grant permission}
