THE ONLY LIKENESS IS THE BABY AND THE LARGER BEAR ARE BOTH WHITE AND MAKE SOME NOISES. JUST GOT THIS ONE TODAY FOR GRANDDAUGHTER FOR CHRISTMAS AND AM DEBATING ON JUST RETURNING, NOT BOTHERING TO WRAP IT UP AND GIVE IT TO HER.EITHER THIS TOY IS BROKEN AS IT DOES NOTHING BUT OPEN AND CLOSE EYES, MOVE ARMS SLIGHTLY AND MAKE THE SAME OBNOXIOUS NOISE REPEATEDLY. UNLIKE THE LARGER BEAR WHICH I (ALONG WITH EVERYONE WHO HAS EVERY WITNESSED IT’S ACTIVITIES) THINK IS ONE OF THE MOST ADORABLE INTERACTIVE TOYS IN A LONG TIME. IT IS SO FULL OF DIFFERENT SOUNDS, MOVES AND ACTIVITIES THAT IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET BORED WITH THE BIG BEAR! REGARDING THE BABY CUB,IT IS A WASTE FOR THE BOTTLE, THE BEAR DOES NOT “TAKE” HIS BOTTLE, IT HAS A “MOCK MOUTH”. I LOVE THE BIG BEAR SO MUCH, (WE GOT THE BROWN ONE LAST YEAR AND WE DRESS HER IN A BALLET TUTU, SHOES AND HEADBAND, OR POODLE SKIRT W/SWEATER AND BLACK PATENT LEATHER SHOES OR JAMMIES) WHEN I SAW THE POLAR ON CLEARANCE FOR $10.00, I GOT ANOTHER ONE, THEN SAW THE BABY ONE AND ORDERED IT. PAID MORE FOR IT THAN THE LARGE ONE, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! JUST A MECHANICALLY DEFICIENT HARD STUFFED ANIMAL THAT COST TOO MUCH. DON’T WASTE THE MONEY ON THIS ONE, GET THE BIG ONE!!!

My daughter got the polar bear cub for yule from her uncle. she has since proclaimed it “my very favorite of all toys”-quite a review from a 4 year old! and her actions show how much she adores the bear cub. she turns the cub off when she’s not playing with him and when she goes to bed. this she does on her own. when the bear cub is not in sight, she wants to know where it is. the cub has been a great teacher of respect for toys. as for educational…she has asked me what the noises that it makes mean. i have researched and told her about new born polar bear cubs. we both have learned new things!
the cub is easy to clean, too. i found this out when she put the cub in her backpack along with a few different colors of sidewalk chalk. the bear came out of the pack wearing the chalk colors. i took a moistened cloth and gently washed the fur…good as new!
she is now asking for a brown bear in spring (the time of her birthday). i’ll have no problem having two bears in the house.

for the price comparing with the enjoyment my daughter has had in just the 2 days she has had it, i think we got a great deal. It has turned an already sweet child into a great caregiver of her new baby bear. She received a baby born doll for Christmas and has not had nearly as much fun as with her Newborn Luv Cub. I think it is very truthful in its advertising and does everything promised. My daughter even took t to school today for show-and-tell. Thanks for a great toy!

i don’t have a newborn luv cub of my own. but i would just like to point out to those people who complain that it isn’t doing everything what its supposed to do. the people who complain bought the WRONG TOY. they said it doesn’t hug u back and it doesn’t look exactly the same. well DUH. that’s bcuz the one that hugs u back is the ORIGINAL LUV CUB which is more expensive. these are the NEWBORN LUV CUBS. so i think those people who complain about this type of thing should LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE NAME. these are the NEWBORN LUV CUBS. if u want the one that hugs u back and is more expensive, that’s the LUV CUB with no NEWBORN in it.

This toy isnt broken it is doing everything it is going to do. i feel this toy was a big help in teaching my 4 yr old girl to be gentle and how to better take care of her toys. we have the big one too and i thank this is a great addition to her toys. we also have the cat, newborn kitten,newborn puppy,bunny, and now the two bears. She play with them all the time
