After reading some reviews of people complaining about this toy, I must make a point that this toy is designed for pre-schoolers to play with, and is appropriate for its targeted age range. Even though the toy maker did not depict the flyboat to the exact flyboat seen on TV, my 2 year old did not have a problem recognizeing that it is “the flyboat”. She was absolutely thrilled to play with this toy. No small parts since it’s designed for toddlers, and total of 5 pieces in the play sets including the characters (which I am thankful for…not many pieces to get lost). The base that attached the characters to the boat could have been designed a bit better like bigger holes for easier attachment for little hands. It’s worth if you pay $25 or less for the product. Overall I give it an A. A cute Wonder Pets toy!

I agree with all the other negative reviews out there. The Wonder Pets aren’t standing in the boat. They are standing precariously on top of it. The mast falls off every time it is moved. To top it all off, the recorded voices no longer work. We’ve had this toy for two weeks. It is cheap and so poorly made it almost seems cynical.
If your kids are Wonder Pets fans, go a different route.

This toy should be retailing for about half its current price. It really doesn’t do much and the few phrases get very irritating after a while. It’s quite loud and there is no volume control. The figures sit on tiny pegs on the boat base (which is leveled off and not a proper “boat” shape as it appears in the publicity photos), they fall off constantly and the peg set up is too small and fiddly for a small child to put the toys back on. They are supposed to be bobble heads but there is no play in the inserts so they don’t really bobble at all. The sail also comes off with the slightest tug. There is a lot more entertainment value if you engage in imaginative play with the toy and with your child but in and of itself this is a $10 toy with a brand name inflated price.

I cannot believe how loud this thing is – these toys seriously go through quality control testing and they decided that that level of sound was appropriate? After a day I decided it could only played with in a room I was not in! It could be half as loud easily. No volume control of course. There should be a ban on toys with no volume control!
Sure you can turn it off, but the singing is a major perk of the toy for kids. Yes, the quality of this toy is shoddy at best – the pegs concept is brutal – it should have the wide circular pegs that many other toys have. We have a ton of toys in our house, many hand-me-downs that have been played with for several years, and this toy is near the bottom of the list. My daughter absolutely loves the wonder pets though – so it will be good enough to entertain her as long as she is a fan of the show, and Mommy and Daddy buy ear plugs!
