Even at $100 this toy is not worth the headaches. The 2009 has skin issues which is noticeable even just glancing at them in the store shelf. Toys R Us seems to have ones it better shape for some reason, but that doesn’t mean it will not have skin issues in the future. Target also seems to have a really bad batch of peeling skin D-Rex. Amazon seems to be getting rid of their stock of peeling skin D-Rex since I received one a few weeks ago. If you must buy this toy, please spend the extra money and time to find one in a Brick and Mortar Store that does not have missing skin. Even our Pleo did not have skin issues until a year later, which is shockingly more durable than d-rex- toy manufacturers need to be working with more durable polymers in the future.

Not only does the product description lie about what is included, the D-REX I recieved disappointed my nephew on Christmas. If you buy anything, buy Spike. D-REX does not move as he should; with feet the size of the dinosaur itself, the toy is clunky, unresponsive, slow, and a complete let down. Who ever made this toy should never make another because you’ve just disappointed all the children that ever recieved one!

I just bought for my son during Thanks giving. He likes to play with it. It is like an usual remote control toys bit more interactive. He is cute when he laughs. He likes to play with him prank mode and seek mode. I would say it is not worth for $100 and the matel instruction manual is waste. It says we can teach him 30 tricks. But, do not know how to teach him. I do not know it has free roaming mode like wowwee toys. I felt wow wee products are better than this.

This toy is fun but fell apart…. The skin is just melting away….. We purchased it from 3 different stores and all of them had problems with the skin. The reason why we got it from the 3 stores is because of the negative reviews on Amazon and my son really wanted this toy for Christmas. My advice is don’t waste your money as there may very well be tears on christmas morning when it falls apart.

I read some reviews about this toy saying that the ones from Amazon had problems with the paint peeling off so I was hesitant to buy it. However, I bought him and I was very pleased to see that his paint was just fine when he arrived. He is a perfect toy for a 5 yr old who just loves dinosaurs. The only problem I can see is that the skin feels a little fragile, like it could be torn easily. That hasn’t happened yet though but we haven’t had it for very long. I would recommend D-Rex for any kid who loves Dinosaurs.
